President Tinubu has taken a significant step towards economic relief and improved access to essential goods for Nigerians by directing the appropriate authorities to remove the tariff and import duties on rice, drugs, wheat, and all pharmaceutical products in the next six months.

This morning while addressing the nation, President Tinubu emphasized the importance of ensuring that all Nigerians have access to vital commodities. By eliminating import duties on these key items, the government aims to ease the financial burden on citizens and enhance their ability to obtain necessary goods.

This directive reflects President Tinubu’s commitment to public health, food security, and overall well-being for all Nigerians. By making rice, drugs, wheat, and pharmaceutical products more affordable and readily available, the government is striving to support healthcare services and improve the standard of living for its citizens.

The removal of import duties on these essential items is expected to have a positive impact on the lives of Nigerians, particularly those who rely on these products for sustenance and medical treatment. President Tinubu’s decision underscores his dedication to serving the needs of the people and fostering economic growth in the country.

This move represents a proactive response to the challenges faced by many Nigerians, demonstrating President Tinubu’s commitment to prioritizing the welfare and economic well-being of the nation’s citizens.
