By Gbenga Agunbiade, Lagos

Honourable Abdulkareem Olugbenga Shittu’s End of the Year Free Rice Package distribution was a remarkable event that demonstrated his commitment to his community and his Political Party. The event, which took place on December 30, 2024, at Allison Street, Ikorodu, Lagos, Nigeria, witnessed a large turnout from all wards in Ikorodu Federal Constituency, with people eager to receive the generous gift from their representative.

This was not a one-time gesture, but rather a continuation of Honourable Shittu’s years-long tradition of giving back to his community. For years, he has been consistent in his efforts to support the less privileged and vulnerable members of his constituency, and this event was a testament to his enduring legacy of kindness.

Although Honourable Shittu was not physically present at the event, his foot soldiers did an excellent job in ensuring a free and conducive environment and atmosphere for the sharing of the rice. The team, led by the Director-General of the Abdulkareem Shittu Foundation, Mr Hassan Muhammed, worked tirelessly to ensure that the event was a success.

According to Mr Hassan Muhammed, “The primary aim of this gesture is to assist the government and encourage our people that Nigeria will be great again. ” He emphasized the importance of supporting the less privileged and vulnerable members of the community, especially during challenging times.

Mr. Kazeem Shittu, a member of the Foundation, echoed the DG’s sentiments, stating, “This initiative is a testament to Honourable Shittu’s selflessness and compassion. He has always put the needs of his constituents first, and we are grateful for his leadership.”

Mr. Shina Jaiyesimi, another member of the Foundation, called on the beneficiaries to embrace the gesture in good faith and believe in the Renewed Hope agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. He urged the people to support the government’s efforts to bring succor to the less privileged, saying, “We must work together to build a better future for ourselves and our children.”

The Lagos Neighborhood Security Corps (LNSC) were also on ground to manage the distribution of the rice, and they did an excellent job in ensuring good safety protocol. Their presence helped to maintain order and prevent any potential chaos, allowing the beneficiaries to receive their rice packages in a peaceful and organized manner.

The security corps deserve special praise for their professionalism and dedication to duty. They worked tirelessly to ensure that the event was safe and secure, and their efforts were greatly appreciated by the organizers and beneficiaries alike.

Honourable Shittu took the opportunity to express his appreciation to Mr. President, His Excellency President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and all the APC Party Leaders in Ikorodu division for doing a wonderful job in Nigeria and Ikorodu to ensure we have Nigeria of our dreams. He commended their efforts in bringing about positive change and improvement in the lives of Nigerians, and urged them to continue their good work.

In a statement, Honourable Shittu said, “I am committed to doing everything in my power to support my community, even if I am not physically present. I am proud of my team for ensuring that this event was a success, and I am grateful to my constituents for their continued support.”

The event was a testament to Honourable Shittu’s impact on his party, the All Progressives Congress (APC), and his efforts to support the government in bringing succor to the less privileged. His selflessness and compassion have earned him a reputation as a true leader and champion of the people.

As the distribution came to a close, the constituents of Honourable Shittu expressed their gratitude and appreciation for his kindness. The event was a success, with a large number of beneficiaries receiving the free rice package. It was a fitting end to the year, and a testament to the power of kindness and generosity.

The rice package, a staple food in Nigeria, was a significant gesture, especially during the festive period. It was a reminder that there are still good people in the world who care about the well-being of others, and who are willing to go the extra mile to make a positive impact.

In conclusion, Honourable Abdulkareem Olugbenga Shittu’s End of the Year Free Rice Package distribution was a remarkable event that demonstrated his commitment to his community and his party. His selflessness and compassion have earned him a reputation as a true leader and champion of the people, and his efforts to support the government in bringing succor to the less privileged are truly commendable.
