Nigeria’s commercial capital Lagos has joined Plateau State capital Jos on the list of cities that have completed the broadcast transmission switch from the analogue to the digital mode.
In his remarks at the ceremony to officially mark the switch, acting director-general, Nigerian Broadcast Corporation, NBC, Amstrong Idachaba said the country has a maximum of six months for the full digitalization by all broadcast stations.

He said any station that fails to comply with the switch by then, does so at its own peril.
