FG has banned filling stations from selling fuel in jerrycans amid scarcity.

The Publisher Nigeria reports that the Federal Government through the  Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority (NMDPRA) has banned filling stations across the country from selling fuel in jerrycans amid scarcity.

This Nigerian news platform understands that the scarcity of petrol has led to widespread queues by motorists at filling stations in Abuja, Kaduna, Niger, Adamawa, Kano, Bauchi, and Delta, among others.

The Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority (NMDPRA) embarked on a war against the illegal sale of petroleum products especially PMS in jerrycans. NMDPRA warned filling stations to desist from servicing illegal peddlers, failure to do so would result in the suspension of retail licenses.
