The National President of the Afenifere Youth Council, Prince Eniola Ojajuni, has been abducted by unknown gunmen in Abuja.
In a statement released by the council’s National Secretary, Abiodun Aderohunmu, the group confirmed that Ojajuni was kidnapped on Monday, February 17 and that the abductors are demanding a ransom of N100 million for his release.
“The Afenifere National Youth Council is deeply saddened to announce the kidnapping of its National President, Prince Eniola Joseph Ojajuni, in Abuja, Nigeria. The unfortunate incident occurred yesterday, and the kidnappers have demanded a ransom of N100,000,000,” the statement read.
Aderohunmu also revealed that Ojajuni sustained a bullet wound on his buttock during the abduction, raising concerns about his safety and well-being.
The council has called on the federal government and security agencies to immediately secure his release while urging Nigerians with relevant information to assist in rescue efforts.
Currently, the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command has not made any official statement regarding the incident.
