The Idibia family has officially petitioned the Department of State Services (DSS) to intervene in the mysterious disappearance of veteran singer Innocent “2face” Idibia, who has been missing since February 10, 2025

This comes shortly after 2face’s mother, Rose Idibia, publicly pleaded with Edo lawmaker Natasha Osawaru to leave her son, expressing concerns over his state of mind amid his recent divorce from Annie Idibia.

In the petition, filed by Anuge, Anuge & Co on behalf of the Idibia family, they allege that 2face may have been abducted and rendered incommunicado. According to the letter, the singer left his residence in his loungewear for his usual morning walk but never returned. Efforts by his family, friends, and management to contact him have been unsuccessful, raising serious concerns.

Adding to their fears, the petition highlights that several of 2face’s close associates have received suspicious messages from his social media accounts soliciting financial assistance—an act they claim is out of character for the financially independent artist.

The family believes foul play is involved, stressing that 2face’s sudden absence has not only traumatized his loved ones but also crippled his music empire. They are calling on the DSS to urgently investigate, locate, and rescue him from what they describe as an act of abduction and coercion.

The petition states in part: “The victim is a legend in the Nigerian music industry, a role model to countless youths. His wife, children, relatives, and employees have been left in distress, while his musical empire has been rendered comatose due to the suspect’s criminal act of abducting him and keeping him incommunicado.”

The Idibia family now awaits the DSS’s intervention in unraveling the mystery behind 2face’s disappearance.
