Ogunsanya Quadruplets Graduate From Same UK University On Same Day (Throwback)

Nigerian Quadruplets, Toks, Temi, Tobi and Tolu Ogunsanya graduates from same UK university on the same day,

A set of 23-year-old Nigerian quadruplets, Toks, Temi, Tobi, and Tolu Ogunsanya, have achieved a remarkable feat by graduating with master’s degrees from Warwick University in the United Kingdom(UK) on the same day.

The siblings, two pairs of identical twins, were born in Nigeria and moved to the UK with their parents at the age of seven.

Fondly referred to as “the quads,” they began their educational journey at Warwick University, earning first-class undergraduate degrees—Toks and Temi in chemical engineering, Tobi in economics, and Tolu in mechanical engineering.

Continuing their educational pursuits at the same institution, they specialized in distinct master’s programs: Toks and Temi in biomedical engineering, Tobi in finance and economics, and Tolu in engineering business management.

They completed their programs in December 2011 and celebrated a joint graduation ceremony on January 22, 2012. The siblings attribute their success to their supportive parents and their close-knit bond as siblings.

“We are very proud of ourselves and grateful to God for this achievement. It was not easy, but we had each other’s backs and motivated each other along the way. We also had amazing lecturers and classmates who made our learning experience enjoyable,” Temi said.

“We are very happy to share this special moment with our parents, who have sacrificed a lot for us. They always pushed us to do our best and never gave up on us. They are our role models and we hope to make them proud in everything we do,” Toks added.

Beyond academics, the quads are accomplished musicians, playing instruments like the piano, guitar, saxophone, and drums. They share their passion for music through a YouTube channel featuring covers and original compositions.

Additionally, they have contributed to their university community through student societies, sports, mentoring programs, and charity events.

The Ogunsanyas are among the few cases of quadruplets worldwide to graduate together at this academic level, and they are believed to be the first Nigerians to do so. With plans to pursue PhDs or professional qualifications, they aim to use their knowledge to contribute to societal development.

“We are very grateful for this opportunity and we don’t take it for granted. We know we have a responsibility to use our talents for good and make a difference in society. We hope our story will encourage others to follow their passions and work hard to achieve their goals,” Tobi said.

“We are very excited about the future and what it holds for us. We believe that with God’s help, nothing is impossible. We want to thank everyone who has supported us and cheered us on. We appreciate you all,” Tolu added.
