Senator Shehu Sani, a former senator who represented Kaduna Central Senatorial District, has reacted to rumors of the demise of Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Chairman Mahmood Yakubu.
This online medium reports that some online news blogs had claimed Yakubu died in London after a brief illness, stating he went to bed in good health but woke up with a serious medical emergency. The platforms claim that despite his family’s efforts to secure the best care, he was reportedly pronounced dead.
However, Senator Sani took to social media on Saturday to debunk the rumours.
He said, “An Online media reported that the Inec Chair is dead, yesterday I saw him in white. May be it’s the ghost.”
Shehu Sani is known for his outspoken nature, particularly on governance, corruption, and human rights issues. He is also a public commentator and often shares his views on national and political matters through various media platforms.
