The leadership of the Academic Staff Union of Universities has declared an indefinite strike action at the Niger Delta University in Wilberforce Island, Bayelsa State.
According to the union, the strike was declared over Government’s failure to honour the agreements reached with ASUU in the past.
The strike action which takes effect immediately was announced by ASUU’s leaders after a meeting at the union’s secretariat in Amassoma, Bayelsa State.
