National Security Adviser (NSA) Nuhu Ribadu has issued a stern warning to Lakurawa, a new Islamic sect operating in the North-West region, cautioning them to desist from acts of terrorism or face dire consequences, News360 Nigeriareports.
Ribadu made the declaration on Wednesday during the opening ceremony of the Comptroller General of Customs Conference in Abuja.
Emphasizing the government’s commitment to national security, Ribadu asserted, “No one dares President Bola Tinubu and gets away with it.” He further stressed that the emergence of the sect is ill-timed, as the administration is fully prepared to combat any threats to Nigeria’s peace and stability.
The NSA vowed that the terrorist group would be eradicated from the country, reinforcing the administration’s zero-tolerance stance on terrorism and violent extremism.
