President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has acknowledged the current economic difficulties facing Nigerians but assured citizens that relief is on the way.
President Tinubu further that the solutions to these challenges will take time, urging citizens to be patient.
Represented by the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Senator George Akume, Tinubu expressed optimism about his administration’s efforts to ease hardships and set the country on a path to recovery.
Speaking at the 70th birthday celebration of Pastor Tunde Bakare, the overseer of Citadel Global Community Church, held in Lagos, Tinubu recognized that while his administration is implementing solutions, an immediate turnaround is not possible.
Akume said: “The president acknowledges that times are hard, but at the end of it all, there is always light.
“Solutions to complex problems can never be as instant as coffee, but we are on the right track.”
Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State, who was also in attendance, commended Tinubu’s administration as a resilient team determined to navigate Nigeria through current challenges.
“It’s tough times, but you see, we are also tough men, and we know that at the end of the tunnel, there will be a bright phase,” Sanwo-Olu said.
The president lauded Pastor Bakare as an influential spiritual leader and advocate for justice.
“This celebration is a testament to a life of strength and courage, of powerful messages and fearless advocacy,” Tinubu stated.
