Malam Mele Kyari, Group Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL), is mourning the loss of his 25-year-old daughter, Fatima Kyari, who passed away on Friday, CityNews Nigeria reports.
Vice President Kashim Shettima extended his heartfelt condolences to Kyari and his family, praying for strength and peace as they navigate this difficult period.
Shettima, along with other mourners, attended the funeral prayers held at the Annur Mosque in Abuja to pay his respects.
Tinubu Mourns Fatima Kyari
President Bola Tinubu has expressed deep sympathy to Mr. Mele Kyari, Group Chief Executive Officer (GCEO) of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL), following the tragic loss of his daughter.
In a statement released by the President’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, President Tinubu conveyed his heartfelt condolences to Kyari and the entire family.
He acknowledged the deep pain and sorrow that the family must be experiencing during this difficult time.
The President also offered prayers for the peaceful repose of Fatima’s soul, encouraging the Kyari family to remain strong in the face of this profound tragedy.
