Justice Faloye dismissed report of internal crisis in Afenifere. He stated that any attack on the Yoruba socio-cultural organization is the handwork of politicians who want to destroy the group for standing against the government’s economic direction.
Afenifere spokesman stated that the Yoruba apex group has no intention of joining any political party or taking the way of opposition parties.
Speaking with Arise TV on Wednesday, Faloye said the group believes in welfarist government, which implies making life better for citizens.
He claimed that as governor of Lagos State, President Tinubu performed poorly.
“We don’t have a faction. We have people who for some prebendalism motives decided to go with Tinubu.
“For the last twenty years, Afenifere has criticized Tinubu for running because we are social welfarists and we believe in making life abundant and even in Lagos (Tinubu) did not do it.
“Lagos would have collapsed under Tinubu if not because of the import market that we have here. We are not an opposition party even though we might have to create another party or join a party,” Faloye said.
