A former federal lawmaker, Shehu Sani, has slammed the person behind the fake story of United Arab Emirates, UAE, lifting visa ban on Nigeria.
This comes two years after UAE imposed a visa ban on Nigerians and automatically rejected pending visa applications.
A report circulated on Tuesday that UAE has announced the resumption of visa services for Nigerian citizens wishing to visit the country.
However, the Nigerian government quickly debunked the reports.
It was the third time since the visa ban that a fake story was being circulated in the public.
Shehu Sani, who represented Kaduna central senatorial district in the 8th Assembly, said, “The person behind the fake news about the UAE lifting visa restrictions on Nigeria is not a good person.
“This is the third fake news on the matter. I hope he or she is not a travel agent.”
