Princess Oladunni Odu, the Secretary to the Ondo State Government, has declared her intention to contest the 2024 governorship election in the state.
THE PUBLISHER NIGERIA reports that Odu made the declaration at an interactive session with members of the Correspondents’ Chapel of the Nigeria Union of Journalists in Akure.
She said she remained the only aspirant with the requisite experience to take over leadership of Ondo State after the end of Rotimi Akeredolu’s tenure as governor.
Odu’s declaration is expected to further heat up the race for the Ondo State governorship in 2024, with Deputy Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa who is currently acting as governor in the absence of Akeredolu, reportedly in the race.
