The government has declared a one week holiday for primary and secondary school students.
The acting Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Education, Alhaji Ya’u Jibrin made the announcement in a statement on Sunday.
He further explained that the break was to enable the students to enjoy the 2023 Eid-el Kabir Muslim festival with their families from Monday, June 26 to July 3rd, NAN reports.
The boarding students are to resume on Sunday, 2nd of July, while day students would resume on Monday, July 3.
