VIDEO: Panicking Sanwo-Olu storms RCCG’s holy ghost service ahead of guber polls

Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s visit to the Redemption camp on Friday night, March 3, 2023, to partake in the blessings of Pastor E.Adeboye’s birthday special holy ghost service has sparked mixed reactions on social media.

Nigerians have condemned and mocked him for carrying out the act in a bid to solicit for votes ahead of the upcoming state elections.

“See how these politicians keep using the church to deceive us because the election is coming, he went to camp, chai” one Sanya wrote

“Somebody is trembling, he remembers the church,wetin these politicians dey take us for self….” one Alero wrote

“the presser is really getting wesser… You can’t fake these things.” one Olabisi wrote

Earlier, the Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, in his goodwill message to Adeboye on the occasion of his 81st birthday said the General Overseer of the  Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, is a blessing to the state.

He also described the clergyman as an epitome of honesty, dedication and service, whose unblemished records of work in God’s kingdom over the decades had made him a role model.

Sanwo-Olu said this while congratulating Adeboye on the occasion of his 81st birthday. This was disclosed in a statement signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Gboyega Akosile, on Wednesday.

“Sir, you have been a blessing, not just to the Redeemed Christian Church of God but also to us in Lagos State.

“Your unceasing prayers for us and wise counsel over the years have contributed in no small measure to the phenomenal progress our state has continued to witness. We will forever be grateful,” Sanwo-Olu was quoted as saying.
