Bandits in the early hours of Tuesday killed three persons and kidnapped the village head’s daughter in Kukar Babangida village, Jibia Local Government Area (LGA) of Katsina State.
THE PUBLISHER NIGERIA reports that the criminals who stormed the community in their numbers had attacked a neighboring village, Daddara on Monday where they abducted five women before storming Kukar Babangida village.
The Spokesperson for the Katsina Police Command, SP Gambo Isah, is yet to respond to this newspaper’s inquiry concerning the attack.
Banditry and kidnap-for-ransom is a major problem in Nigeria, especially the northern region.
Katsina, Zamfara, Kaduna and other northern states have been at the mercy of bandits, with authorities finding it difficult to curb the scourge.
