The Speaker of the Taraba State House of Assembly, Professor Joseph Albasu Kunini has resigned from his position.
THE PUBLISHER NIGERIA reports that Prof. Kunini cited personal reasons for his decision to step aside.
Kunini was elected Speaker in 2019 after the resignation of the former Speaker, Abel Peter Diah.
The Professor’s resignation notice was contained in a letter sent to the lawmakers on Wednesday and was read by the Deputy Speaker, Hammanadama Ibn-Abdullahi who stood as Acting Speaker during the sitting.
