2023: APC Fixes Date For Lagos Presidential Campaign Rally

The Lagos State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has fixed Saturday, November 26, 2022, for its Presidential campaign rally in Lagos State.

The Director-General of the State Campaign Council, Senator Ganiyu Solomon, made this known during a press briefing on the grand rally, at the party Secretariat in Ogba on Wednesday.

Solomon said the rally for the party’s Presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu, would be held at the Teslim Balogun Stadium, Surulere in Lagos.

He said the rally would be a homecoming for Tinubu, stressing that the APC candidate is the most consistent, the biggest contributor, and the most visible democratic icon since 1999.

The former Senator said the event holds a promise for mass attendance by party faithful and supporters because of Tinubu’s popularity, who is the candidate to beat in next year’s general election.

Solomon recalled that Tinubu excelled as a Lagos West senator in the Third Republic and governor of Lagos State between 1999 and 2007, adding that he has become a national pride.

He said: “You may wish to recall that Tinubu excelled as a Senator representing Lagos-West Senatorial District and as the Governor of Lagos State between 1999 and 2007. Therefore, the event is like a homecoming for our leader and mentor who has become a national pride.

“As a responsible political party, it is imperative to seek the cooperation of the general public as regards the need for temporary diversion of traffic and mass movement of supporters within the vicinity of the rally.

He asked the general public to cooperate with the party as regards the need for temporary diversion of traffic and mass movement of supporters within the vicinity of the rally.

Solomon said men of the Nigerian Police Force, Lagos State Traffic Management Authority, LASTMA, officials, and other law enforcement agencies would be fully mobilized to prevent security infractions and traffic disruptions.
