The Publisher Nigeria understands that naira rose to N730/$ after falling to about 900/$ a few days ago in the parallel market.
Speaking on the development via a tweet on Friday, Shehu explained that the Naira appreciated against the Dollar because of the alleged threat by the United States against the hoarding of the Dollar in several places around the world including Nigeria.
He wrote, “Forex dealers are insisting that Naira appreciated against the Dollar not because of any CBN intervention but because of the alleged threat by the US against the hoarding of the Dollar in Nigeria.”
According to reports gathered, following the announcement of the naira redesign by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Naira fell against the dollar in the black market.

Speaking about the visit, the LP presidential candidate via his Twitter handle, described the crowd that welcomed him as humongous and the reception as wonderful and warm.
His tweet read, “I am in the palace of the Oba of Benin; greeted by a humongous crowd, wonderful reception and warm hospitality… I am grateful, and delighted to be here. -PO.”
