BREAKING: Former Ogun Governor, Amosun vows to work against APC in 2023

Former governor of Ogun State, Ibikunle Amosun, on Monday said that he will work against his party, the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2023 Ogun State governorship election.

THE PUBLISHER NIGERIA reports that Amosun said he is supporting the African Democratic Congress (ADC) governorship candidate, Biyi Otegbeye, in the 2023 election.

Speaking during an interview with BBC Yoruba, monitored by this newspaper, Amosun however said he is backing Bola Tinubu (APC) for the 2023 presidential election.

“For the presidential poll, I can assure you, both right, left and centre, we are supporting one person (Tinubu),” he said.

“I believe we are supporting one person. On the governorship poll, that’s a different ball game. I don’t belong there.

“I don’t hide behind one finger to fight. That’s why people say to me ‘don’t say that.’ On governorship, my supporters and I, we don’t belong to that side.”

When asked about his choice gubernatorial candidate, Amosun replied: “Biyi Otegbeye is the person I am supporting and ADC is the party.”
