Gunmen attack, kill hotel owner, three others in Ebonyi

Gunmen unleashing mayhem in parts of the South East have reportedly killed a hotel owner identified as Chief Ogbonnaya Nwadibia and three other persons in a hotel at Isu community in the Onicha Local Government Area of Ebonyi State.

The spokesman of the Ebonyi State Police command, SP Chris Anyanwu, who confirmed the incident on Sunday, said the incident occured on Friday night.

It was gathered that the assailants invaded late Mr Nwadibia’s Galaxy Hotel with sophisticated weapons and opened fire on the victims.

The police spokesman said the details of the incident were still sketchy, saying subsequent developments will be made known to the public.

“Yes, the Command has heard about the incident but we have not gotten the full detail of what really happened,” Anyanwu stated.
