I’m Here To Promote Prosperity Of Erinmope-Ekiti – Oba Sunday Aniyi
Oba Dr. Sunday Aikuirawo Aniyi has declared that his reign as the 20th Obaleo of Erinmope-Ekiti, will attract prosperous and socio-economic growth to the ancient kingdom of Erinmope-Ekiti.
Oba Aniyi made the pledge at a press briefing, in Erinmope-Ekiti, Ekiti State, on Friday, to commemorate his enthronement as the Amoyinmade Atayese 1, the Obaleo of Erinmope-Ekiti.
The Obaleo of Erinmope-Ekiti called on government, stakeholders and well-meaning individuals to partner with his people to create a prosperous municipality that is self-sufficient and functional.
He revealed that his council will embark on the mobilization of a billion naira private investment to develop existing resources of the community noting that there abound sufficient human resources.
In his words: “I invite you to partner with us in our quest to create a prosperous municipality that is self-sufficient and functional. We are embarking on the mobilization of a billion naira private investments in our kingdom to develop our existing resources and maximize them for the socio-economic growth of our community.
“We want to optimize by investing in technologies to help them make profits and increase the capacity of our people. I am here to promote prosperity where people work, stay and live.
“To drive our indigenes who are successful people by trying to mobilize them to invest here. Our hope will be able to build companies by using our own indigenes.
“We have human resources, chartered accountants, people in key strategic places, private sectors etc. And we are also increasing campaign of what we have here which is agriculture.”
While calling for formal recognition of the local security arrangements to curb the menace of insecurity, he maintained that the traditional institution remains a potent agency in solving the problem.
He went further to reveal that activities have been lined up for the week-long historical event marking the climax of the coronation ceremonies that began in November 2021.
The high point of the coronation ceremonies is the conferment of the Highest Honorary Chieftaincy on the First Lady of Ekiti State, Erelu Bisi Fayemi as the Yeye Oba of Erinmope-Ekiti and other honorary chieftaincy titles to some deserving indigenes and some exceptional individuals.
Expected to grace the grand finale on 27th August 2022, is the Ooni of Ife, His Majesty, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi Ojaja II, who will be the Royal Father of the day, Governor of Ekiti State, Dr. Kayode Fayemi, highly-placed personalities from the political and corporate world etc.
