Terrorists have again attacked herders in Mangu Local Government Area of Plateau State, leaving many dead and others missing.
The Military Special Task Force ‘Operation Safe Haven’ confirmed the incident.
Major Ishaku Takwa, the spokesman of the Military Special Task Force of Operation Safe Haven, who confirmed the attack, explained that officers trailed the bandits, during which the bodies of some of the victims were recovered in the bush.
While also confirming the attack to newsmen in Jos, the Plateau State chairman of the Miyetti Allah Breeders Association (MACBAN) Mohammad Nura, said that about five herders were killed and 19 others missing following the attacks by the terrorists.
Some of the missing herders are feared to have been abducted by the terrorists.
According to him, several other herders have escaped into the bush, leaving behind their cows.
