Insecurity: Osun Amotekun Warns Against Harbouring Criminals

Residents of Osun State have been warned to stop harbouring criminal elements in their locality.

Handing down the warning on Wednesday, in Osogbo, while featuring on a radio programme, Amitolu Shittu, the Field Commander of the Western Security Network Agency, Amotekun Corps, also disclosed that the security outfit is battle ready.

Shittu also warned that any attempt by terrorists to attack Osun will result in disaster.

While calling on residents to raise alarm when they discover unknown faces in their communities, Shittu stated that the Yoruba race, being peace-loving and despising the shedding of blood, were not cowards.

“We are valiant warriors in the land, in the sea, in the air and we are warlords of warlords who are great in battle; we are unrepentant warriors on any battlefield.

“We do not take anything that has to do with securing the lives of people and property lightly. We rapidly work on any piece of information that concerns security to ascertain whether it is genuine or not,” he said.

Highlighting his achievements in office, he disclosed that the outfit had since its inception apprehended a lot of criminal elements, including armed robbers, rapists, cultists, marauders, and hooligans, who are all cooling their heels in prison.
