The presidential flagbearer of Labour Party, Mr Peter Obi has debunked insinuation that he may be working for his Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, counterpart, Atiku Abubakar.
There have been rumours that Obi, who was Atiku’s running mate in the 2019 presidential election, may step down for his former boss before the 2023 elections.
But speaking yesterday when he featured on Channels TV programme, the former Anambra State Governor said he is contesting to succeed President Muhammadu Buhari.
The LP candidate opined that he possessed the qualities of winning the election scheduled for February 2023.
“Nobody goes into a match thinking of what will happen, everybody is going there to win. I am going into this contest to win, I am going into this contest to be the president of Nigeria.
“I think I have all it takes to win,” the LP’s flagbearer declared.
