Bishop Wale Oke speaks about a younger Nigerian who will become president in 2023

The national president of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN), Francis Wale-Oke, says God is raising a competent young Nigerian to lead the country out of its current woes.

“God is working to raise a competent President of Nigeria among younger Nigerians to digitalise the nation’s economy for the common good,” Mr Wale-Oke, a bishop, said on Friday.

He added: “The days of social-economic challenges are numbered with the exit of older generations in governance and the advent of younger and pragmatic ones into the leadership circuit.

“God Himself has heard the cries of his people and has put in place modalities to bring a national change of thinking, perception and tradition into the scheme to salvage the situation and make the economy good again.

“As a people and as an individual, what you see in the spirit realm is what comes to pass in the physical.

“Therefore, wrong views should be discarded for good perception of things, both as an individual and as a nation, for people to make headway in life.”

Mr Wale-Oke charged leaders and government at all levels to do away with greed, while asking the people to profess good tidings for self and society in order for such to be accomplished both in the spirit and physical realm.

The Christian leader, represented by Archbishop Joseph Imariba-Ojo of the Calvary Kingdom Church, Lagos, made the assertion at the 12th Edition of the Independent Newspapers Ltd. Thanksgiving Service in Lagos on Friday.

The newspaper had organised the programme to give thanks to God for successes in its operations. An editor with the outfit, Yemi Adebisi, said beckoning to God at the beginning of every year was a tradition in the firm.

The preacher commended the firm for referencing God in their business pursuit and prayed for the growth of the company and staff.

Pastor Funso Odesola, Assistant General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), who officiated the prayer session, tasked people to resort to prayer and praises in times of trouble.

Mr Odesola, who frowned at fair weather Christianity, said tribulations were bound to come in life but the ability to persevere such was through communion with God, through prayer and praise songs.
