Ekiti: Former state house of assembly member abducted by gunmen

A lawyer in Ekiti State, Sule Adedayo Longe has allegedly been abducted by gunmen in Ijesa-Isu axis of Ikole Ekiti.

A statement by one of his relatives said the gunmen also kidnapped an unspecified number of passengers from a commercial vehicle on the route.

Longe who had represented Ekiti East Constituency 11 at the Ekiti State House of Assembly, during the first term of Governor Ayodele Fayose was travelling from Omuo-Oke to Ado Ekiti for a case at the court on Wednesday when he was stopped and pulled out of his vehicle by the gunmen.

His whereabouts according to his family is still unknown at the time of filing this report.

His vehicle which was left on the road has been towed by family members but all his lines are currently switched off.
