Breaking: Former Lagos Governor, Ambode Gets New Appointment

The Publisher Nigeria reports that the immediate former governor of Lagos State, Akinwunmi Ambode, has continued to remain relevant in the activities of the ruling party, All Progressives Congress, APC.

The Publisher Nigeria Recall that in May 2021, Ambode was appointed the deputy chairman of the south-west subcommittee of the Contact and Strategy Committee of APC.This time around, the soft spoken former governor is again playing a strategic role at the national echelon in the party as he has been named as a member of the All Progressives Congress National Campaign Council by the party’s Caretaker/Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee, CECPC, in the forthcoming gubernatorial election in Anambra State.

The election, which would take place on November 6, 2021, is strategic to the gains and mileage of the ruling party as the incumbent, a member of All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, Governor Willie Obiano, is term-limited.

The inclusion of Ambode’s name in the list is a testament of the fact that the former governor’s selfless service and giant strides scored while in office as number one citizen of Lagos State didn’t go unnoticed and appreciated by the party.
