Ben Ayade has revealed why he dumped PDP for the ruling APC.

 

 

 

 

The Publisher Nigeria reports that the governor of Cross River State, Professor Ben Ayade, has revealed that the genuine intention of Nigeria’s President Muhammadu Buhari to move the country forward informed his decision to join the All Progressives Congress (APC), Nigeria’s ruling party.

This online news platform understands that the former PDP Governor Ben Ayade made this comment on Thursday, May 20, after he was formally received into the party by the National Chairman of the APC Caretaker/Extraordinary Convention Committee and governor of Yobe state, Mai Mala Buni from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Nigeria’s main opposition party.

 

 

 

The Publisher Nigeria reports that Ben Ayade said it is imperatives for all Nigerians to join hands with the President to move the country forward and ensure that the 2023 election is free from all worries that international community holds.

The former PDP Governor added that it is not about party, but character and integrity, stating that every governor must support the President at this trying time to ensure the country triumphs above the current challenges.

 

 

 

Speaking after joining the APC, The Publisher Nigeria reports that Ben Ayade gave reasons for joining the ruling party, saying: “As a professor, having seen the sincerity and commitment of Mr. President, having seen the progress attained so far, having seen the associated tension occasioned by the increasing social media manipulation to create a level of….. having recognized the challenges of our youths and the level of unemployment and the associated challenges so far, it is my responsibility as the leader of the party in Cross River State from the political perspective to do all I can to assist Mr. President succeed.”
