The United States government has warned Americans living in Nigeria to be more security conscious and avoid unnecessary movements, particularly in Lagos state.
This is as the US Consulate has issued a security alert to its citizens in Nigeria, warning them of a notable increase in criminal activities in Lagos.
The notice dated 27th April, 2021 warned Americans that it has received reports of robberies happening both in the daytime and at night in Lagos State.
It warned them to be extra conscious of their environment and movements particularly at night and to avoid going out later than 10 pm except such is absolutely necessary.
