The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has refuted media reports that it took the foreign exchange rate off its website.

This is according to a source at the Central Bank of Nigeria.

According to reports by some media outlets, the CBN took down the N411.29/$1 exchange rate from the homepage of its website.

A quick check reveal the website currently shows the exchange rate at $411.32, which is in line with the rate at the Investors and Exporters window, as of Nov 08 2021.  It is however unclear whether it was updated after media reports sighting its removal were published.

An inquiry from a CBN top official and he said, the news of the  removal of the exchange rate from the website is “completely false.” He asked individuals to visit the website to confirm for themselves.
